E’ il 1966 quando esce il singolo cantato da Nancy sinatra “These boots are made for walking” ed è subito un successo mondiale. Divenne talmente famoso che truppe americane in Vietnam lo cantarono durante le marce, compare infatti anche nel film cult di Stanley Kubrick “Full metal Jacket”, ambientato appunto in Vietnam. Numerose le cover che ne seguirono, tra queste ricordiamo quella di Jessica Simpson nel film Hazzard, più per il video molto hot che per l’interpretazione e quella dei Planet Funk, nel cui video compare invece Libero di Rienzo, meno sexy di Jessica ma non per questo meno bravo.
